Polar Express themed decor

Our 1st grade team does an annual Polar Express themed party, and they make an awesome train that goes down one side of the hallway. I really wanted to dress up the other side with what might be seen out of the train windows.  A town square with a huge 3D Christmas tree, a town hall, toy store, residential neighborhood, Santa and his reindeer flying through the night, a train station with a train schedule, ticket booth, and railroad crossing.

  1. We are gonna do a Polar Express theme in our hallway this year. I'm curious about the Christmas tree. What are the dimensions of the green paper and the white paper?

    1. Each of my squares were roughly 2'x2' and I just "swirled" the corner off of 1 side of the white and jagged cut 1 corner of the green pieces. Good luck!

    1. I took roughly 2'x2' squares of colored craft paper and "swirl" cut 1 corner of the white and "jagged" cut 1 corner of the green before layering them and rolling them into cones. The tree can be heavy, so make sure you have a good way to secure it in multiple places to the wall.

I think if you cut the white paper and paste it on the green to make it look like the snow before you create the cone it may work I'm going to try it out myself good luck ladies

  5. For the trees what is the rolled paper attached to? Was the trees assembled in strips?
